Eid-ul-Fitr 2015 Outfit Details :)

Belated Eid Mubarak to all those who follow my blog, to those who don’t and are still reading this. I hope everyone had a wonderful Eid. I am writing this blog post to share details about my Eid outfit. I generally have two outfits. One is relatively casual in comparison to the other.  Before I start talking about my dresses, special thanks to my third sister for helping me throughout my Eid shopping and eldest sister for capturing these images. Location courtesy: Eldest sister’s garden. My casual outfit looked like this:

Polka dot suit with trousers. Material from Regal in Meena Bazaar, Bur Dubai. I am sporting a black Hijab with this one which is quite rare in my case but had to go for it since otherwise it would be an over-dose of colours. Love the sleeves of this one. It has a fancy collar too which cannot be seen obviously haha.

The Eid outfit which was on the heavier side is inspired by Anna Hariri Mint & Beige sequin gown. All though my dress does not look very similar to it because I did not get the right shade of mint and sequin but anyway I decided to materialize(literally) the idea in Pink. Presenting *drum rolls* my pink Tulle dress:

Awkward poser alert: I’ll never know what to do with my hands while posing. So in this one I am fixing my Hijab.. I can’t do the whole ‘keep-my-hands-on-my-hips’ pose which girls do. I am pose challenged, maybe?? The whole dress including the sleeves and the bodice( my clothing vocabulary is not very enriched so excuse me if it is not the right term) is lined with pink satin. The bodice and sleeves are overlaid with a black net which has golden shimmer (yes yes, Eid bling) while the bottom part of the dress is plain pink net. The scarf is from Abu Hail Center.
Mirror Image. I showed this to my nephew and told him the other one is my twin sister who lives in India :D

Rishta Me kind of a picture.

When we were little, my mom also put in effort in buying new pair of night wear for us. So following the tradition, this time I wore my new pair of pajama set on Eid night which coincidentally happened to be Pink. I was totally Barbie doll-ing this Eid. Where is my KEN?? But wait.. Hijabi barbie is Fulla.. so where is my Khan? 😉

To wear Pajamas or dress up? The question remains.
